“She’s a friend; someone you can look forward to seeing, can tell anything to, and can trust with your best interest at the center of the conversation!”

Finance Professional, Minneapolis

Thank you for sharing your amazing insight, tuned-in listening skills, patience, fresh perspective, graciousness, knowledge, wisdom and so much more with me in our coaching sessions. So many things in my life have come into place since we began meeting. I feel like I found the correct wave length and am not only happier, but am open to opportunities I’d never imagined.  You are an incredible person and inspiration. I always look forward to our meetings!

I just wanted to thank you for everything you’ve done for me.  You helped me get organized and turn my life around.  I appreciate it more than you can imagine! I feel that I’ve gotten to the point where I need to take everything you’ve taught me and go out & use it on my own.  You are an exceptional person and your coaching has changed my life.

Mary Briggs, Mother of David Briggs, University of Wisconsin-La Crosse Graduate

Thank you for all you did for our son, Dave, as his coach for the last few years,  Your academic and personal life skills coaching helped him successfully attain his goal of graduation from college.  He was so proud of his improved GPA.  Your guidance  in his life was a stabilizing  force enabling him to move ahead to achieve his goals.

Norissa, UW-La Crosse Student

I wanted to let you know that you wonderful. After leaving our meeting, I sat in the library for a minute or so and wrote down some things and emailed my parents. I’m sharing this with you because I feel it is a true measure of your ability to empower. You revitalize the desire and the belief in others that change is possible. The amazing part is that the trick is in changing the perspective one has. It’s a lot easier said than done, but I thank you, and think you are wonderful for sticking to the task without halt. I had a fabulous meeting with Nancy today. I can’t tell you how nice it is to have someone here that is a confidant, but also a person that has the ability to coach emotions. She really helps me realize the power in unconscious self talk, which helps debunk old (undesirable) behaviors by attacking the issue from the root first. I wish I could share the experience. It is just really nice to get perspective from a person other than my college buddies.

Isabelle, Mother of Nick, College Student   (507) 287-1887

Nancy’s coaching has helped Nicholas build confidence over the past year. She was always there when Nick got stuck with personal or academic difficulties. Nick says that Nancy uses a step- by-step approach to come to solutions and ideas. Taking little steps at a time has helped him a lot. The transition from high school to college went very well thanks to Nancy’s coaching and good advice.

Donita, Mother of David, College Student

I thought that you would like to hear that David had several comments last weekend that he was very grateful that he has been able to work with you this semester. He had only hoped that he started the year with you, because he would be farther along on managing school life.

Ed and Pam, Parents of Winona State University Student

Thanks for showing up in our daughter’s college life just when she needed you. You are a very positive person and that is a great stabilizing factor for any student that is struggling academically. With your knowledge of Winona State University and all the connections you have with the teachers, you are a great asset for any student that needs a little direction with the transition to college life. Your positive approach to help teach the skills of organization would help any student and give them the wings to fly on their own. All colleges should have this kind of help available.

Nancy, Successful Professional

Honestly, Nancy, I couldn’t have done it without you! You’ve made a huge difference. I especially appreciate your affirmation and imagination and sense of humor, not to mention your competent yet caring and willing-to-bend ways. You are a GREAT coach and a wonderful friend!

Rebecca, Mother of Danielle, Winona State University Student – Please contact Nancy for my phone number

Nancy is not just an academic coach, she is a LIFE coach, (she helped our daughter focus and set goals on the physical, mental, emotional, social and spiritual aspects of her life!) a friend, (Someone you look forward to seeing and can tell anything to), A little like your Mom (Nancy immediately recognized and saw the strengths and gifts in our daughter and focused on them.) Someone you can trust with your best interest at the center of the conversation! Nancy began working with our daughter at a time when she was not able to come home much so we were not able to see her very often. Danielle was working very hard and was extremely motivated to become a teacher and needed guidance on all the steps to apply to the Special Ed program. Nancy didn’t do everything for Dani but helped her identify next steps and kept us updated along the way. Danielle’s self esteem has grown! She has made new contacts at Nancy’ suggestion including volunteering and job opportunities. I would like to address the financial investment in academic coaching. I believe it is money well spent when these kids are on such tight budgets. Nancy gets to know the student so well, and as a community member in Winona, she just naturally knows where they might fit in. Dani is very happy, has grown up so much in the last several months and Nancy has contributed much to her growth as a young woman. I can see the relationship continuing on for her remaining time at Winona State!

Mother of High School Student

I am really pleased with the effects of coaching.  The changes have been subtle, but I think slow change is more lasting in the long run.  The big thing is that she seems to realize the value of it.  For this I thank you.

UW-La Crosse Student, after 2 months of coaching*

Well, I’m pretty darn proud of myself, I worked my tail off this semester and was very focused and determined and I have broke a lot of my old habits….to name a few….not going to class, being late, procrastinating, not doing homework, skipping meals …those are a few things but they are huge things!  I really made a decision not to down play myself anymore and not to make things more difficult by not doing them or by being late, instead now I just go an extra mile or two which is much better because then I move forward and increase my abilities instead of staying in a standstill. I finally realized that its not ok with me so I’m done with all that b.s.    I know that I have to continue to work hard and its not going to be easy but now that I’ve proven to myself that I am capable.  I also am glad I finally really took my school work by the “horns” and decided that I am smart, because I am, but I think I just told myself I wasn’t, and since I wasn’t, it was ok to get bad grades, it was easier in a sense that way too, but no, not anymore because I am smart and I am taking advantage of that fact. (*Graduated Cum Laude with a double major!)

Mother of High School Student

She is doing absolutely fantastic! I know she will be ok when she goes away to college in the fall. Thank you for your part in helping her to become the successful young woman she is.

WSU Graduate’s Mother

Thank you for joining us for the graduation dinner. You have been a positive influence in her life since we were connected with you for the life coaching you provide. I am so glad the friendship between you and she has continued. Thank you for the many connections you have helped her establish in Winona. She speaks of you fondly and often. I know she will miss you. Thank you for everything . It takes many of us to get these kids through the tough times. It was wonderful to have the special people in her life with us at her celebration dinner. She was so happy!

Thank you so much for all of your help in the past semesters. You have helped me so much with learning how to schedule my time, set priorities, and even change my mindset in a way that has let me not just get back on my feet, but to rise above my previous successes and strive for my full potential. Thank you again.
